(no subject)
it hasn't quite sunk in that it's almost christmas. it's not that commercialized so its not everwhere you look like in the states. however i did laugh quite a lot the other day when i went to the grocery store and they were putting up these frosted pine trees with christmas lights on them. then the next day there was a 4 foot electronic santa standing at the entrance singing to everyone who went in. that was funny. it's so Dar. i think it will hit me when i go home. it will be cold and christmas stuff will be everywhere. i cannot wait to have a gingerbread latte from starbucks. then it will officially be christmas. or a soy chai. that's like christmas all year round.
i haven't really started packing. but my duffels are sitting in the middle of my room on the floor just staring at me. i'm not really taking much home except for gifts for people. because all i have here is summer clothes and it's cold there.
and the BEST news of the week: my power has been on for THREEEEE days! 3 days i tell you. that's something. and man it feels good. i actually took a warm shower this morning. i didn't know what to think.
