Hello everybody....
So I think I'm actually going to start typing in here again. i don't know which one of the two to type in, but I'll decide eventually. For now, i'll just type in both.
For those who don't know, I graduated in May and now I'm taking a year off from science land to chill out and learn how to be an adult. iE stop overdrawing my bank account, pay my bills on time and other such wonderful grown up activities. I've also had the pleasure of getting to see the lovely Ellen R for the last week. She came out of the icy midwest to grace Southern California with her presence. We had awesome adventures. Anyone who is going to be in the LA area, let me know, and we can go on some of those awesome adventures. Like tidepooling, and hiking, and dancing and so forth.
Seeing Ellen was rapidly followed up with my friend's wedding. Kristen was the first of my Oxy group of friends to get married, well, really full blown wedding married, not trip to the court house married. It was beautiful, but a total shit show. By the end of the night everyone was wasted, and i left a bunch of stuff and had to go back and find it the next day. But the bride was beautiful and we all got a kick out of seeing her husband's family,. He's Manx (from the Isle of Man) so we'll probably never see most of them again.
Anyhow, life is pretty good, Los Angeles has been so warm and beautiful, it's hard to really complain about anything.
I'll be back, for real this time. I just want a place to type again.
