I had a rather nice day yesterday
Fish lab was interesting
I think I have at least one job for the summer
if not offers from 3 places
we'll see
there's one option that I like the best
but I'm not going to talk about it until I find out if I can do it or not

ate lunch with some kids from my class
who are super nice
and said I'd be a really good TA
so I think I might do that next year
because this year I already have three jobs
and next semester I also have three labs and four classes again
so TA-ing doesn't really fit it
Evolutionary bio lab was not terribly interesting
but not horribly boring either
we just looked as skulls of hominids
from gorillas to modern humans
and talked about why certain skulls seemed "frightening"
and some were "cute"
and whether these opinions were innate or learned
yeah, I'm a big nerd
then Matt came by
which was hilarious because he's the most awkward person ever when it comes to emma
and he was really really nice
I think he's looking for more friends just like me and Emily
so we walked to newcomb
met up with some boys I know who live there
and then just philosophized and talked about a bunch of random stuff
it was chill
even last night was nice
Emily's family is in town for Thanksgiving
so I thought i'd end up just going to sleep early
but instead we went to Newcomb (again)
to hang out with some boys (the same ones)
then back to Wylie to chill at Anna's couch-warming party
drink some wine
talk to this boy I've been in love with since he sat behind me freshman year for the single day I was in Statistics
met his really nice girl-friend
and we ran into the kid I ran away from once
which was nice and awkward
and hilarious
I'm tired of updating, so here's the final bit:
- a car alarm has been going off outside wylie for over 12 hours now
and it's driving me bananas
- my birthday is two weeks from today
the world needs to be wary
- holy fuck, totally forgot to mention Bryan and Freddie and Kellyn and Jimmy all came over Monday night
it was wonderful
I haven't seen Bryan since the incident a few weeks ago
fortunately, everything is fine now
which is amazing
- met a girl who was the same year at IMSA as Lyra
small world, huh?
I'm going to clean my room now and wait until 11 hoping Emily will come get her phone before I have to go to work.

I miss everyone so much
so much it makes my stomach hurt a little

and my family
and my house
