I'll let you in on something I've never told anyone before. More often than not, I try to select a mood appropriate to the fic, rather than my own mood. Which is odd, because I dislike classifying my fics as "humor", "angst", etc.

And thanks for "extra awesome" - that is, itself, extra awesome!
