Oh man, that's great! It's so sad. And I love the references to The Little Match Girl. It's been forever since I've read that story, but I loved it.

I actually teared up!!

I especially loved the line: "She shuts everyone out, makes all the arrangements herself." That is SO Beckett- to take care of everything all on her own, completly shut down when something so emotionally jarring happens. But then finally Castle is able to break her walls down at the end. I could actually see this happening- and the best part is... it is such an innocent moment. Castle/Beckett, yes, but innocent, and just caring and compassionate. Lovely!
