Numb3rs and Moonlight -- casting SPOILER for Moonlight
Taped season openers for Numb3rs and Moonlight and watched them last night. Sadly, Numb3rs has elected to make itself really unwatchable with mal-de-mer-cam and idiotic pass-betweens on every shot. I won't reveal the Amazing Unforeseen Development (yes, that was sarcasm) for those who want to remain unspoiled.
Moonlight was a pleasant surprise, except the last few minutes with the waaaaaay too soon romance junk, I like the main character Mick St. John's voice and attitude, but what I REALLY liked was the total casting surprise (to me) of Jason Dohring, who used to play bitchy richboy Logan Echolls on "Veronica Mars", as his bitchy 400-year-old vampire tycoon pal Josef. Love him! Assuming he's going to be a regular (they'd be insane not to), this would be reason enough to watch the show. And after they have a somewhat strident clash of wills, you gotta love that the next voiceover Mick does is to muse, "Relationships are complicated..." (I may not have got the exact words but that was the gist.) I foresee much fanfic... if the show survives.
