fifth attempt to post this - live journal is acting up - blargh
58 days until I turn 40 (but I'm not good at math) - Just finished watching the Moore & Eick Battlestar Galactica series (minus The Plan) on Netflix streaming. I really feel like I learn something about what is important in the creative arts by watching this show - How rare it is to get a chance to see something like this project through to completion for a production team. To have a vision that resonates with a lot of people on many levels - in short...to make something beautiful. That which does not bend shall break - not that I need to do more yoga...well - I do but its a good feeling to know I am playing my part even if I only halfway know what that is.
Individuation is kind of a farce - but come what may - we earn our face and our story - and our experiences - and true, they are ours... But I feel like the inevitable loss that we feel, while we are gaining these things makes us whole in an entirely different way than we might expect.....magic in the meaning. I realize this probably doesn't make any sense. My Scorpio moon lists towards esoterica and my Cancer rising to tomfoolery. Fun languages to play with - pearls on a thread.
Shooting three short films this past weekend was quite an experience. The film I directed - "Critter" was fun to make. A rough cut is due tomorrow so expect to see a trailer soon on the official site and facebook page. Back to the edit.
