supply confusion
So I ordered some supplies, in preparation for my upcoming Carnaval Diabolique Act 3 Decant Circle (which still has some slots available in the ordered scents, by the way, if anyone is interested. No CnS yet but naturally I will keep you posted.)
I ordered the imp-sized vials from http://www.madinaonline.com/. I heard that their minimum order limit is $20, so I threw in some dram-sized roller bottles too. (Under the assumption that I will do at least one Demeter circle in the relative near future. And also to maybe try some of my oils in the roller ball bottles.)
Here's where my expertise, or lack thereof, comes into play. I don't really know what a 'dram' is, but I presume it's a specific measurement of sorts...right? Wrong?
I'm confused because I got the order today, and those dram-sized roller bottles appear to be exactly HALF the size of the ones saribeth used for the Demeter "bottles of sunshine" circle. And I'm pretty sure she said those were dram-sized. So why did I get midget bottles?
They're also smaller than the bottles belfrey used for the Starring...! decants. Or at least, they're shorter. They are wider, so they might actually be the same size. belfrey, were those dram bottles you used?
When I get around to using them, I don't want to tell people I'm giving them a dram and have it be a lie. :/
Also, I'm not really impressed with the way Madina shipped the imp-size sample bottles to me. They're just, like, wadded into a huge ball and wrapped in paper and tape. I didn't even know those were the bottles, and when I opened it one is totally crushed. I got glass slivers in my finger. I don't know if that's due to the crappy packing method or the way I opened it, since I had no idea what I was opening. I also am not thrilled that I have to dig all those suckers out of there and count to make sure I got the 200 I ordered.

So I spent a couple hours counting little bottles, and caps, and roller balls, and reorganizing the shipment. I have everything I ordered, minus two imp=size samples, and I believe the pieces of broken glass add up to two bottles. So everything was accounted for. As a matter of fact, I have EXTRA imp caps.
I'm not going to quibble over less than 20 cents worth of broken glass either. :)
I am still confused on the size of the dram things. I suspect my bottles are the same size as the ones belfrey used, just different shapes.
