Vampire novels in the marketplace
Okay I'm going to make a completely public post because I need as much help as I can get.
Other than Twilight, can anyone tell me what other vampire-related novels they have read (title/series and author) currently in the marketplace and give me an uber short rundown on what they're about (ie. Is it set in a school? Is it about a mortal hooking up ( Read more... )

Dark Ones series by Katie MacAlister - Is about "vampires" who don't call themselves Vampires but Dark Ones and are actually born like this or made by a demon lord. There are three types, the females who are called Morivian, males who have a soul and males who don't have a soul and need to find their beloved (soulmate) who can fetch it back for them. These are more romantic comedies and I truly enjoy reading them.
The Midnight Breed Series by Lara Adrian - A race of ancient aliens who crashed on the planet and went about in bloodlust and rage only to find out that they could father children with a special kind of human females (breedmates) who wear a teardrop falling in a crescent moon birthmark. They are the only ones amongst our kind who are able to give birth to the Breed.
Jaz Parks Series by Jennifer Rardin - Blurb from the first book: I’m Jaz Parks. My boss is Vayl, born in Romania in 1744. Died there too, at the hand of his vampire wife, Liliana. But that’s ancient history. For the moment Vayl works for the C.I.A. doing what he does best-assassination. And I help. You could say I’m an Assistant Assassin. But then I’d have to kick your ass. I love these books!
The Drake Chronicles by Alyxandra Harvey - It's about a vampire family, the Drakes. Each book will follow a sibling and tell their tale in this family. The books do follow each other up as they start where the other left off but then told from a different sibling.
I'm not at home right now so can't really recollect what other vampire books I have but these are the ones not mentioned in here yet =P
