Mohinder Suresh Heroes FanVid - "They" by Jem

*sings* Tis the season to be jolly... fa la la la la, la la la la...

Even though this isn't technically a christmas song, it sounds christmasy to me with all the choral "ba ba ba" in it. Anyway, it's a nice reflection on the spiritualism that comes with that culture.

This video is a reflection on the Heroes character of Mohinder Suresh showing ( Read more... )

You know how much I cheer whenever we get 2 Heroes together? It is seriously funny. It's like I'm anticipating something great. I like seeing them all pitch in together. You know, despite Mohinder and Peter being in the same scenes together, I actually focused more on them as individual characters. I think mostly because I was empathising with Peter and just what he said to Mohinder in the taxi blew my mind because it sounded exactly like me. I loved Mohinder's retort though "Yes, we are ALL special" *said sarcastically* LOL It's the same kind of cynicism Nathan shows, but not as blocking just cutting.

I DO like that they've made him not 2D. I look to Mohinder as the brains of the whole thing, so I'm excited whenever he discovers something. It's nice that he has a background kinda story too. I'm actually really eager to see what he finds out next - there are so many questions in his life right now. And I'm glad he didn't fall straight into accepting it (I think that approach worked much better for him than for Simone. She still irritates me whether she believes or not. I kind of wish she just stuck to one rule of thumb.)

Oh wow so you're on the opposite side of the Eden camp LOL That's funny. I'm totally not an Isaac/Eden shipper. I actually think STRANGELY ENOUGH even though it appeared more like a brother/sister relationship at first to me that Isaac/Simone was the better pairing out of the ones they've tried to pair those 2 up with. And Peter, well, I just like him running around on his own. He doesn't need Simone... he's got Nathan to back him up :D

Um... I never saw Eden's graphic novel :( I haven't seen most of them actually. And I do remember reading Isaac's and having the show contradict it so I kind of don't want to rely on those for info anymore. I actually want to know what it is Eden knew about Sylar. He's got some anti-bullet thing going on there (Matt shot him twice and he walked away, and Sylar told Eden that she knew the gun wouldn't work on him). You know it did look as if Eden made her peace with everyone, which was a nice way to wrap it up before her death, but then she did promise Mohinder she was going to get back to him afterwards. It all makes me sad cause I keep thinking now she knew something that could have helped all along, but because of her situation with HRGM and the higher power over him, she was prevented from doing that. Still, it didn't stop her from being mischevous enough to give Isaac the swipe card to escape and attempting to kill Sylar on her own.

And of course that power has a negative side. If you spend so long telling other people how to think and what to do, you're going to start wondering if people are doing things of their own free will or because you made them. I kinda think it would be hard to love anyone under those circumstances (though she was very attentive to the boys).

Especially in circumstances like the DL/Hiro run-in where they don't even know they are working together XD

Uh huh, that's what I was referring to. I loved that. I was bouncing and squeeing and all in that situation (damn I was more excited over that than the Peter/Claire thing at Homecoming LOL :$ )

Mohinder's cynicsm would be in a way worse maybe? Or so I thought, because here is a genetic expert who just that morning BELEIVED and yet now that Peter is there is not very impressed.

Um, here's where it gets confusing. See I've always believed that Mohinder was cynical of his father's work, and he must have believed there was something there worth him getting killed over. So he's gone to check it out, and become more wrapped up in the mystery at the same time finding love for the thing his father was so passionate about (and this is what is conflicting within him because of his own beliefs that his father's work was pure fantasy). The ONLY thing that breaks from that is the flashback where Mohinder had read the book and was all excited about it (which made me go "Hmmm then why is he yelling at daddy later about running to NY for these theories?"

Peter isn't at all bitter about the fact that he doesn't seem to have his own special power and says easily "without others I'm not really anything".

Peter is used to not being important. He took great pride in the fact he did the nursing thing on his own without his father's money or support. He's a giver, not a taker, so in a different light you could look at it as if he's saying "If there's noone to help, then I have no purpose". It's what he lives for. He doesn't want to be special (well not desperately like Sylar), he just wants to help.

I mentioned that I wouldn't be averse to Isaac/Eden but you mentioned a sibling dynamic and now I'm thinking that wouldn't be all that bad either [LOL I am fickle].

LOL I meant Isaac/Simone (I was trying to work out what the deal was between them to start with). I think I saw Eden/Isaac more as teacher/student - or at least that's what I had hoped to see.

Where are the graphics novels again? Think I lost the link :(

See, I think those were early days and Mohinder must have idolised his father back then. But once his father started pushing him away he most likely started believing in what the other genetic professors were saying. Had his father chosen to include him I think he would've stood up for him.

Oh good work :D That's what I needed to sort out my mind hehe. Thanks *hugz* I'll go with that.

...the Peter novel is a bit...weird for me, I haven't had the chance to digest what it means for Peter's character yet.

Thanx for the link! :D I just read the Peter one. Looks like a normal hospital bed... *doesn't want to be wrong about HRGM :$* UM... okay so I think that's the inner turmoil going on there where Peter suddenly thinks he's the cause of NY going KABOOM (amusing to see him picture himself like Superman). Of course that's another Peter-dream-that-won't-happen cause Nathan wasn't there so he COULD fly. Can u imagine them playing tag team? LOL That's be good.

Um if u wanna be literall about it we could wonder who'd be in such a protective suit - radioactive man so he doesn't radiate? Invisible man so he can be seen? Or maybe there really is some mimic shapeshifter person out there who IS pretending to be Peter and that's where this all comes from. When I looked at the shadow of that dinosaur in Isaac's painting it looked more manlike (well I said Peter-like LOL) than reptilian. *taps desk* interesting.

Now I think I'll go read the other ones :D

LOL NO!!!!!!!!!! *tries to piece your head back together* Can't do that or I won't have anyone to discuss my hundreds of theories with!

Oh, hey, I also checked out the other ones I missed too, and in the Hiro one he rips the front page of his comic off to make a crane. And on that front page is the same image of Peter in his Superman suit but lifting a car! So, hmm, that'd mean he's near Jessica and stuff. Think there's definately a Super!Peter in the future.

Oh and I've been stumbling onto some spoilers today (bad peeps, didn't think there WAS anymore LOL) and they said something about Peter being massively effected by his brush with Sylar and the powers there, so I'm starting to think that's the cause of his illness... though it bears explaining by the producers cause I'm still non-the-wiser.

Ahhh I see. Didn't know that. Thanx :D

No LOL Milo's not going to wear spandex. I think he already put his foot down about that one ;)

Yeah see my friend and I have this running theory that Sylar's original ability was that he can see things that are wrong with ppl (or that they're "broken"), and those are the ppl he's going after - ala Charlie with her illness, and Claire's mom told her she had a "genetic disorder" also. I don't think he's following the Suresh list because he wouldn't have made the same mistake Peter did if he was chasing by name. However my friend pointed out that he had caught a glimpse of "the map" and made his own (which was much more diverse and detailed I remember Mohinder pointing out). Nathan was on Sylar's map too! :| Does that mean there's something wrong with him? :( I dunno... things just don't make enough sense at the moment. But if Sylar's ill then Peter could be too. Maybe THAT is what they were trying to prove with Peter picking up Matt's headache!!!! K *quietens down now*

And not a bad theory, it's like my theory :P I agree *nods*

Yeah see that's where things kind of went off the rails. If he was able to "sense/see" something was wrong, should he not be able to "sense/see" who had powers? :( So I don't know, I think we need more info on Sylar and his abilities to string together everything they've shown us so far.

Yeah if Sylar's absorbing all the badness I guess he would be sharing it with Peter as well. So yeah every possibility he could be ill through that. And at least they've kinda promised to explain that so maybe we will know by Feb next year. :)

Also, how did the GNs contradict Isaac's story? *curious*

Oh oops forgot to answer this :$ Um... in the finding out about his power thing. The novels said he painted a girl that got hit by a bus which he had showing at an art gallery, but I believe the show said the bus with the number in the paper and whatever was going on there was the first predictive painting that he had done (or at least discovered what he had done).
