It's Saturday evening, and I am at neither of the two parties I said I would attend tonight. I'm very tired and think I have a migraine coming on. So I've been clearing email and reading LiveJournal and thinking about what will happen in the next installment of Summer Dreaming.
Went and saw Pirates of the Caribbean last night, and it was wonderful. It was International Talk Like a Pirate Day, and about half of us (and there were twenty of us there - yay for HoardePower!) had dressed up. Loved the movie, and now I can finally go and read circe_tigana's Spank fic, No Pirate on Earth, which I've been looking forward to.
Today FuzzyBen and I had lunch with his father and sister. It was nice to finally meet them, and we had a pleasant time at Byzantium Cafe in Ponsonby. I can see where Ben gets his good looks from, and it was really interesting from a genetic point of view to sit there and see the things they had in common. All three of them have the same yellow-brown eyes with green edging; FuzzyDad has the same sharpened-to-a-point canines; and FuzzySis has the same curly hair. I wonder what people see when they look at BigTaz and me?
Interestingly enough, I'm not who I expected to be when I did the Greek God quiz. But I like the result:
