Another bookstore post...
I like this one because there's three in a row of "people I know" (Carrie Jones is not a debutante, but an LJ friend and excellent person). I also saw some other deb books and even took other pictures but some of them are too crappy to post. The second-best moment was a little girl taking an interest in MODELS so I said "that book is by a friend of mine." Then my wife said "Read it, it's wonderful." I hope she was convinced.
The best moment was buying... well decisions decisions but I left with... drum roll please... OK, it is the book set in the state where I was born.
