someone elsewhere is say they are just pointing out the way things are, when they point out there's more bang of the buck putting money into other more serious crimes than domestic violence - just economics.

this completely ignores the economic value women provide in a "domestic" setting. which continues to be undervalued, if it's even noticed.

it misses the point that male privilege has created a social system that values what privileges men and does not value the status of women.

Of course, I would have gone for kicking domestic violence up to an automatic felony, since the reason it wasn't being prosecuted was because they weren't prosecuting misdemeanors, and maybe they discussed that or it's just not feasible.
that would make too much sense.
