Last night Lil and Courtney and I went to the LaGuardia Gospel concert and it was AMAZING. (This was after the state of the arts brunch, me finding out you have to be NINETEEN to buy cigarettes now, and shopping for techno music with cousin Dan).
During intermission, we met up with Nate and Kwabz, and they snuck into the show (since no one was selling tickets anymore). I need to spend more time with them somehow.
Then Lil and Court and I went to Horus (formerly the best hookah bar in the city) where there was a LINE and a velvet rope to get in. Luckily, I had called ahead to make reservations, but we still had to wait. And they've just introduced a 20 dollar per person minimum. Yuck. We're going to have to find a new hangout.
It was crowded and lots of people were dancing, which was pretty sweet, but our waitress kept trying to get rid of us so they could seat more people, even though we kept ordering more stuff. LAME.
The girls slept over and good times were had.
But speaking of Horus, today, I MADE THE FUCKING PHONE CALL. To a certain waiter. Thankfully, I got the machine (I was really nervous - I last saw him in November), and left a semi-nervous but relatively put-together message. Now all I can do is wait.
My brother is being a douchebag and hogging the TV, but on the whole, I like him a lot better these days.
