The long-awaited update! Sorry it took me so long.

And just for those who are new to the story and want the pairings up front, here you go: Amy/Lucy, Max/Dominique, Janet/sweater. (Heh, sorry, couldn't resist. ;) But the first two are serious. ^_^)

*screams* BEST EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That chapter was such a climax and the end and the fight and the MUSIC! I laughed when I realised what it was. The ultimate "FINAL BATTLE" music. Ah Buffy, they've got something for every occasion. But the timing was pretty much perfect! Just as Amy realised what the strength was, it started getting all hardcore! I could imagine Buffy's fist smashing into some Uber-Vamp at the same time as Amy kicking Kali to the ground. Brilliant, just brilliant. And Amy talking to Mr P... and Mr P deleteing the tape! YAY!

Oh so much love for you and this story! So very much worth the wait!

And I've gotten my girlfriend onto this too. She, unlike me, had watched the Pretender and loved it, and she's seen DEBS too, but didn't love it as much as me. So now I've got her reading from the start :D

Wow. Now that's an enthusiastic reply. ^_^ Yeah, the music did go perfectly there, didn't it? I'd heard it in something on youtube and spent ages trying to figure out what it was, so that I could use it when I eventually wrote this chapter. Though I don't know if I'd call this the climax of the story, as we have quite a way to go, yet. ^_^

And yeah, Mr. P. rocks. ;)

I don't think I've ever had anyone tell me that they liked my story so much that they actually went out and got others hooked on reading it. *grins* It doesn't suck. ^_^

Oh, yeah. My Amy gets to kick all kinds of ass. *grins* Kali will make an interesting dynamic in the story, when she returns. But first, I have some other, more neglected characters to get back to, I think. ;)

So I've finally caught up on this story. And I have to agree, this is the best chapter yet! That fight was so good! Your storyline is really coming together. I can't wait for the next chapter.

Thank you. ^_^ I did put a lot of effort into this one, so I'm glad it evidently came across the way I wanted it to. And the storyline is developing, all right. It's figuring out where I'm eventually going to have to start wrapping things up and begin the endgame that's the bitch. (Don't worry, though, that won't be soon - I already have a rough idea of what I'm going to be doing up to chapter 25, and that's still not the last act, so to speak. This is definitely going to be my longest story yet, I think. :D )

:D I did indeed. Nice chapter - like others have said, the fight scene is fantastic - the sense of movement comes across really well, and the introspective thoughts manage not to slow the action down, which is a pretty hard trick to do.
