A Christmas Outing

Yesterday, Christine came up to Exeter and we went to Killerton ... my local National trust property.  Only the ground floor was open, but it was decorated for Christmas ... and they did a great job.  Killerton has been controversial this year by doing a garden display that is costing £20 per person, including members ... and it has not been a ( Read more... )

Those robins are brilliant ... there was also a snail in that selection of sculptures

The house does look lovely. But, like you, I think £20 to walk through the grounds, even festively decorated and lit, is more than I would be willing to pay.

Yes, those grounds were certainly not worth £20 ... I do wonder how many people actually paid the money. Judging from the local news I would imagine they were going to run at a huge loss.
