Yes, Jaykub died as a 10 year old (he broke his leg), but the horse I used to blog about was DJ, my namesake. I gave up riding when he was 11, and he was sold to a "Riding For The Disabled" charity in Windsor. Thar would have been perfect for him, as it is flat, there would be few long, hard rides ... and lot of brushing (which he loved). I last heard about him about a year later and he was very settled. He would now be 21, but I am only presuming he is still alive, now (he should live to at least 30 - 35)
