Things have been quiet so I answered
lupina78's meme prompt ... and these are the 5 questions she asked:-
1. I know you´re a very talented musician. Is there an instrument you wished you could play, but never really got the hang of it?
2. What´s your favourite food?
3. If you´d have the chance to go anywhere in the world, where would you go, and why?
4. What´s the one thing you own that means everything to you? Like, an item with great sentimental value.
5. Aaand last but not least, what´s your favourite Buffy episode?
1. I know you´re a very talented musician. Is there an instrument you wished you could play, but never really got the hang of it?
I have tried to learn the piano, and although I can co-ordinate my hands on a clarinet, I can't play more than one note at a time. Piano is a useful instrument to learn ... both my parents could play (in fact dad at 88 played at Church this morning), and one of my brothers is self-taught.
2. What´s your favourite food?
I love (English) sausage and chips (fries) ... with pickled onions! Roast chicken is another favourite, and I love basic salad stuff like tomatoes, lettuce and cucumber. For pudding I love steamed puddings, mince pies or pineapple pavlova!
In general I also like Chinese or Greek food.
In other words I tend to not like spicy food, and prefer really simple basic foods.
3. If you´d have the chance to go anywhere in the world, where would you go, and why?
Austria to visit my friend!!! No, seriously, I have a few friends via LJ that I would love to travel and meet.
Other than that I love cities and history - so much of Europe would be a popular choice, as would much of USA.
I would also love to pop into certain countries to just see one thing - The Taj Mahal, Mata Pichu, The Pyramids, St. Basil's Cathedral & The Winter Palace, a Thai Temple and The Forbidden Army.
4. What´s the one thing you own that means everything to you? Like, an item with great sentimental value.
I have lots of sentimental value - I would hate to lose my pictures with James, and the family wedding photos etc.
But the 4 items of jewellery I would be devastated to lose are -
a) The necklace my grandfather bought his fiancee and she only wore at their wedding, my aunt and mum then wore it ... and I have worn it 4 times ... the 3 times I have been a bridesmaid and for their 60th wedding anniversary.
b) A locket I have never worn - my grandmother wore it a few times, and in it is a picture of my dad as a baby. It doesn't have a chain - I must get one.
c & d) I have 2 broaches that were given me - one was from my grandfather and he bought it for his mum when he went to France in 1915. the other is from a friend who bought his for his wife when he went to France in 1939 ... they are both from the same regiment and I do wear them every November 11th.
5. Aaand last but not least, what´s your favourite Buffy episode?
The hardest question!!!
I have a soft spot for "Lies my parents told" in season 7 as it's the first one I saw ... and great to see James various characters. I like "The Wish" and "Superstar" as I love the what-if questions!
I also like the end of season - "Becoming II", "The Gift" and "Chosen".
So, there isn't a clear favourite, because as well as all of these I love all the normal "Spike" favourites ... the ones that always get listed. Maybe if I sit and think I will make a clear decision, but I think it would be almost easier to list the ones I don't like!
So - if you want 5 questions just ask!
