i really enjoy military museums. it`s a guilty pleasure. if you`re anywhere near Rothenburg (smallish town in Bavaria south of Wurzburg), you should check out the musuem of Middle Ages Torture Devices. one of personal favorites. i know what you mean about "beautifl machines to kill each other" though. i used to work in (the gift shop of) The Army Aviation Museum, and i`d always take a stroll through the museum on my breaks and hang out in the Chinooks. I`d fucking love to see a messerschmit though. the naval aviation museum in pensacola is pretty cool as well, though not nearly as romantic as i imagine a british aviation museum is ( ... )

well you rock once again my freund, got yr letter yesterday when i got back from der Vaterland. didn't get to go to Dachau even though i was in munchen - had to make it back up to josh's place for 'crimma'. the torture museum woulda been cool, but my schedule was tight and i wanted to see little linnea etc (oh and by the way look at http://www.cbhp.ua.edu/~jmoore/ for some pics of the little sticky loud bundle of joy)

i actually got deathly ill on christmas day, they had to call the herr doktor, but i'm back now for a bit before new years - amsterdam here i come...hope yours is equally memorable back there - wish i could be back too!

I have a faint memory of an association between you and the name catfish. We were going to tell everyone to call you that. We made up an ellaborate story about why they should call you that...something about cathcing one and putting it in the bathtub? Were there pecan or almond trees nearby as we spoke of the name catfish? Did anyone ever call you catfish besides me? Silly questions.
When do you leave for Bolivia? What time in Spring? Why didn't you go to French-speaking Africa for this project instead of learning a new language? What are you going to do in Bolivia?
