Bees and Butterflies
Its time for spring and what do we like in the spring? We like bees and butterflies. Bees and butterflies are cool. This is all brass with different finishes. The two butterflies are really old (that would be GENUINE VINTAGE BRASS STAMPINGS in marketing speak) and have oxidized themselves into this coppery finish. Its known as gingerbread brass and there isn't much of this left out there. The bees had the coppery finish applied by humans instead of nature. That's a genuine natural 12mm malachite cabochon because spring is when things start getting green and besides it looks really good there surrounded by all that coppery finish. This all adorns a brass filigree in a gun metal finish suspended by an 18" inch chain with a lobster tail clasp. Hand made, as is all of my stuff, and one of a kind.
The chain measures approx 18" with 9" of chain on either side BUT I added a few extra jumprings at the clasp area so you can get another half inch out of it if you need to. The pendant, from the base of the dangling bees to the top of the gunmetal filigree where it meets the chain is 2.5" and it is 2" wide at its widest point.
