Let's see . . . interesting projects . . . some of my stuff from the deep distant dead files just was reissued. Old comics from 1984 & 1996 in an anthology by S. S. Crompton. I started a new blog for my paranormal novel Utopea. I've had a few genealogical articles published in arcane newsletters, and am still working on my Civil War non-fiction study "Social Network of the 166th Virginia Militia." Work on the third City of the Gods novel goes slowly.
I keep up with all your releases on social media - you are so productive! I have too many hobbies outside of writing.
All of my non-writing hobbies have died. I now and then try to resurrect them by buying paint and such, or maybe drunkenly pulling out my guitar.
My last release charted really well, more than I would have thought. I have screen grabs of it on the page with Anne Rice and Stephen King. Really blew my mind in terms of "what's possible."
This is a project that began *years* ago as a NaNoWriMo, morphed into a screenplay, and is now being adapted into a novel (yes, I'm doing that backwards, lol)
I could never give up my other activities just to write. I enjoy all my work in community organizations, arts and crafts, and travels too much. But, as you know, those are all career killers. Fortunately I do not have to support myself due to my amazing husband.
You found a real gem in Bill, that's for sure! It's my experience that partners are more of a detriment than an asset for me. I bring out the helplessness in other people, I guess.
True about Bill. He's off working in Germany right now, so I also get to experience the world vicariously without the hassle of doing it myself.
I know a lot of wonderful, strong, talented women who are currently saddled with "anchor men," as I call them, childish, useless males who leech. It's sad.
