Is It Pledge Week?
I pledge allegiance to . . . wait, that’s not right.
The pledge I want to talk about concerns my Kickstarter project! My co-creator and I have a small goal of raising $2,500 to fund the printing of our next novel which will be out in January 2013. He and I have been working together for *gasp* 30 years now, so we aren’t newbs in the publication game. In fact, on our City of the Gods: Guardian Kickstarter page, you can view a trailer which shows many of the products we’ve put out in the last two years alone.
For those new to Kickstarter, it works like this. You find projects you want to support and make a pledge from the option buttons the creators have provided. Most pledges have premiums that you will receive for funding the project, such as books, t-shirts, and other swag. Pledging begins at $1, so start digging under your couch cushions now! And, if we do not reach our goal, you are not held to your pledge.
I hope that if I have ever helped you with a goal you will remember it and think of me kindly, or if I have hindered you in a goal you will pledge to show the world how awesome you are compared to me, ha ha! Or maybe you barely know me and are just in the mood for a random act of kindness. It’s all good!
