I got up at 5:00 to watch the US Women's Basketball team play Russia. (Good game, btw.) When that ended I checked the other Olympic coverage channel to see if the xenophobes at NBC would be showing Australia-China (they weren't), but I stumbled on the US Women's Futbol team playing Brazil for the Goldy ( Read more... )

The US-Brazil game wasn't even a great game...but it was a great last 30 minutes. *g* I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I love futbol (soccer). And now I wonder why NBC isn't showing it on the main coverage? (I only get a few stations with my sub-basic cable.)

It's really wild that soccer doesn't get a lot of respect in the US, as just about every single kid plays it.

The rest of the world is definitely not wrong on this one! Futbol is great!

So Deb, I assume you're going to be up early for this one. Obviously we're (me and my basketball nutter of a partner, Samantha) will be cheering for Lauren and hoping Penny Taylor (the key to us winning I feel) is fit.

Good luck, should be a great game; the two best teams in the world.

I expected (as most people did) a much closer game. Who knew Kara Lawson would hit everything she threw up?

Your defence was too strong, too physical and we were always shooting under too much pressure. Nothing went in. We'd hoped for a closer game also, but you were far too good in the end.

Jed got hold of me, thanks. Not sure what's been happening with my email but I'm still on the same address. The spam seems to have no trouble getting through.
