I'VE BEEN ILL
Just in case anybody was missing me, I spent three weeks in hospital. Actually, one week in hospital and two weeks in a skilled nursing facility being fed sntibiotics through a PICC line (Periphirally Inserted Central Catheter.) I got back last Friday and have spent the last five days plowing thriugh all my emails, so if I haven't replied to any messages, bear with me!
I was in the SNF for the election. I woke up literally sick to my stomach on November 6th. I've pretty much accepted that things will be horrible. The people voted in a Fascist over the priice of groceries and gas, which aren't that bad (our inflation rate is about 2%, the lowest in the world. and gas is going down too.) Never mind that the president has no control over the prices of either. And in fact, with Trumop's tariffs, the average househiold can expect the added expense of $4,000. Apparently Google crashed the day after the election for all the idiots looking up tariffs, because nobody bothered to do so before.
These people truly have no idea what's in stote for them. They keep telling us we can "...lie down and take a nap. and you'll wake up to a world with no wars, cheap groceries and gas...)
The way he's unleashed Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy on government programs is horrifying. If Social Security is cut, I and millions of others will be out in the gutter, Musk wants to crash the economy so he can rebuild our country as a Russian-style Oligarchy, with Trump in charge of what government business ia left, while they rule with impunity.
For my friends and relatives in Europe and the UK, get ready. If he pulls out of NATO as planned, you'll all be sitting ducks to the Russians. With nothing to hold him back and the financial aid to the Ukraine pulled out by Trump, he'll plow through the Ukaine, plow through Poland next then make his way through all of Europe.
