On a sad note, four hundred mosquitos became seriously ill today after a truck released toxic gases into the air in a local neighborhood. However, no mosquito fatalities have been reported so far.

A new bill was proposed today that promises an end to the household mold problem in America. The new bill, entitled Yucky Mucky, would demand that all US citizens be removed from their homes on the basis that dangerous molds might reside in unknown places. "They're much safer on our streets than in some moldy wooden structure," says ex-con Michael Walletsnatcher. "If no one has a house except rich bureaucrats, then we'll all be more equal... except for the rich bureaucrats, of course," says Alice Politikas.

Gas stations nationwide are experiencing a modern version of the Y2K bug due to unexpected prices. Local Bait-n-Lottery store manager Muhad Jummama says he is stocking up on twinkies and lottery tickets in anticipation of the possible price glitch. The initial scare came when an SUV driver made a purchase in excess of $100, which included medium grade gas and a french vanilla cappucino, of which the cash register rang up as a $11.5698 purchase shortly before spraying sparks at the clerk. It appears that the imaginary currency, tenths of a cent, in addition to unanticipated purchases reaches triple digits, have caused a glitch in the cash registers which were upgraded to compute the molecular breakdown of a penny. If not updated, cash registers are prophesied to experience "Total Blackout" in which they are expected to revert to the orignal format of 2 digits for the dollar amount and 2 for the cents. For now, we recommend that no one panic. But perhaps you and Jummama should begin hoarding twinkies and lighters among other basic convenient store essentials. The name given this bug is Y2MUCH.
