"Well, this is a rather... interesting situation..."
Jin Uzuki had been in many dire moments and cases, some very odd or out of the way. But this incident definitely takes the cake.
"I apologize," a cool, feminine voice replied. "I did not anticipate the explosion to be that powerful. It must be a new product, otherwise, it's capabilities would have been uploaded into my data banks."
If he had the use of his arms, Jin would wave the stiff apology aside. "It is nothing. Everyone makes mistakes."
Of course, that's all Jin wanted to think of this as. Tampering with bombs was dangerous, yes, but this looked to be completely non-lethal, at least to Jin it did, and the fault was sincerely his. Of course, he did not plan for his body to automatically move to break KOS-MOS' fall - he was sure she wouldn't be damaged much, anyway - and have his arms trapped between his body and KOS-MOS'... chest so provocatively. And to have their faces inches apart.
Shion is so going to kill me if she hears of this...
"Hey! What's all the commotion?"
The battered door was bashed open and Jr. and chaos stride in. Jin's heart sank. Aside from Shion, chaos was another person he feared to catch wind of this.
Jr. and chaos' eyes fell upon the sight of KOS-MOS on top Jin, and the scattered remains of what used to be a storage room. Silence fell as both parties stared at each other before Jin uneasily broke the silence,
"It's... not what you think."
Before Jr. could speak, chaos did, "Just tell us what happened and how you two got into such... a mess." Jin didn't like the little edge to the platinum-haired man's voice.
"I shall," KOS-MOS said, as she finally got up, pushing the debris off of body. "Upon inspecting a peculiar item, we did not anticipate it to be a bomb, and so I shielded Jin from the explosion."
Was that how it went? Jin couldn't believe his ears to think that KOS-MOS was actually lyi-
chaos smiled gently. "I see. We'll look around more then as well. You are both all right?" As he asked this, he had somehow gotten closer to KOS-MOS, who nodded to his question.
"So much for treasure..." Jr. randomly kicked a piece of charred metal aside. Jin was silent, staring at KOS-MOS before his emerald gaze settled on chaos. Sensing his stare, chaos glanced at him, and Jin slightly shivered at the cold intensity of just that one glance.
Note to self: Never get caught in an intimate position with chaos' supposed mate.
