The Juicy Details

I promised more, so here it is :)

As of late, Stevo and I have been noticing signs that we were ready to get married. Our love has changed from that teenager-jealousy type to the kind where we love each other, but also have a whole lot of trust and understanding. I've been through that freshman year-in-college-don't-know-what-to-do stage where we broke up for awhile, but it only made us stronger in the end.

There is nobody in this world that I would rather spend my time with than my Stevo. Sure, he makes me mad, we fight. But now, instead of saying, "oh, I hate him! let's break up!" like a little child, I do not even consider any options other than working it out. Just having that mind set has improved things considerably.

When I told my mom we were engaged, she said, "well, I hope he gets a job." I don't expect him to support me right now, we're both in college with part time jobs! But even if I had to earn the money, or if we were living out on the streets, there is noone that I would rather share my cardboard box with than Stevo. He is my security, support, everything. I just don't know what I would do without him.

So, a few months ago, we both agreed that it was time. Maybe not to get married, we certainly can't afford that, but at least to take that dive and get engaged. We went to the jeweler (G M Pollack & Sons- I love them, would really reccomend it) and learned all about diamonds, and I picked one out. Of course, it took awhile for Stevo to save up for that.

Last Sunday, we went to Funworld. Stevo was acting a little weird, but hey, we all know how he can be, so I ignored it. We played DDR and Beatmania like we always do, and everytime we go to Funworld, we play 18 Wheeler (we call it Big Truckin' though) I should say a little more about Funworld. DDR was one of the first things that brought us together, and even before I could drive, my mom took us to Funworld. And after that, we went almost every weekend. It's a very special place for us. I even had my 18th birthday party there!

But anyways, when we play Big Truckin, I drive, and he honks the horn and shifts. (We make a great team) I'm getting pretty good at that game. I got up into the drivers seat, and I was waiting for stevo to sit to my right, but he was on the left. I said "hey, you're on the wrong side," but it was right then that he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I think I nodded or something, but I gave him the biggest hug and a kiss, and he came and sat down with me, and he said, "so what's the answer??" I just laughed and said "YES!" and we hugged some more. It was so cute. Needless to say, it was hard to focus on Big Truckin, and I failed pretty fast.

We got home and had to tell my parents, which was pretty awkward, but my Dad was happy for us, and my Mom is just weird about stuff, so I sort of ignore her reaction. I couldn't wait to tell my friends though, so I quickly posted on my livejournal and facebook and everything.

I hope you enjoyed my story, it certainly has a happy ending!!
