Placebo tickets

Got my Placebo tickets today. I caught the train to Mentone at around 10am and the first person I see is that Molko clone that lives on my block. Far out. Then he sees me and we just sort of stared at each other for a while. I mean, how often is it that you bump into a really fucking hot person that just happens to live down your street, when you're both 20 minutes away from home? Not bloody likely.

Anyway, 10 minutes later, the bus comes and 5 minutes after that I'm at Southland. So I practically run to Myer Ticketmaster, trying to push all the old people and mothers with prams out of my way.

Finally, I get to the ticket counter and surprisingly, I'm the only one there apart from this dad who was there with his kid. So they get served before me and fuck, they took fucking ages trying to get tickets for the footy. Bloody hell. Then the computer kinda stuffed up so I had to wait another 5 minutes.

Anyway, finally this slow-arse comes to attend me so I ask for my 'General Admission' tickets for 'Placebo' and he just looked at me like I was speaking Chinese or something. So he asks the other guy working there about it and the other guy, who was more helpful, told him who Placebo were and so he goes 'ah, right, their tickets go on sale today.'

And I'm thinking *no fucking shit, Einstein! Why the fuck am I here then*

So he goes off to check on his computer only to tell me that GA tickets were sold out. I was so surprised. It was only 10:30am which meant they all sold out within an hour basically. So I tell him I want seated tickets and he shows me the seating plan thing and tells me I could get places towards the back. So I did.

It's not the fact that I have seated tickets that shit me the most. It's the fact that there isn't another Melbourne show happening, especially since people from Perth/Adelaide/Tasmania are probably going to make up a third of the audience.
