For anyone who wants to know....
Hiya everybody!
There is news for you people. Some of you know, some of you suspect, and some of you had no clue but to make it official for everybody...Cory and I are going to have a baby.
No, it wasn't planned (duh), but here we are and we are handling it the best we possibly can. If this post is full of typos, forgive me, I've learned that pregnancy makes your brain die a little, or in my case a lot, so I keep forgetting things.
We went to our first official Dr's appointment yesterday, but we've known for about a month. After enduring the most embarrassing physical exam ever(!) the Dr. pronounced me 8-9 weeks along and set a VERY tenative due date for June 15th, 2006 (which she said she will probably change). I go back in about four and a half weeks when she'll listen for a heartbeat, and if she can't find it yet, then she'll do an ultrasound.
I'm feeling alright most of the time, but alas I'm already ready for it to be over, this part's just not that much fun. Cory and I are slowing warming to the idea, but it came as such a shock what with our given circumstances, that its been kind of hard to deal with. Our families know so we are hoping to let everyone in our lives in on this little bit of breaking news. Feel free to tell anyone you want, who knows when we might see some people we don't see that often, we aren't trying to keep it a huge secret (not that we really could, eventually it'll be kind of obvious) so no big deal.
The chances of this happening were VERY slim (I wasn't sure if I'd ever be able to have kids without major fertility treatment), so we are counting it as a blessing in disguise, even though sometimes it seems pretty inconvenient. Umm, I think that's about all I have to say about it, we are trying to be pretty low key and avoid any major squealy moments of excitement. I'll have a shower sometime, Brittany and Shelley (Ragsdale) Eck want to do it for me so if any of you chicks wanna be involved in that that would be fun. Uh, so yeah that's about it. Comments and questions are welcome, so...yep.
