I had a really good birthday.
Cory planned and execute an extremely fun time. First we went to his apartment and made a pizza for lunch. Then he took me to a spa where he'd made me an appointment for a manicure and a pedicure. That was so nice. Sticking your feet in that water, ahh...Then we went back to his house and decorated and ate cake (my little one just for us, not the volcano cake of course) Then we went to Granny Had One in Guthrie and ate more, but since it was my birthday, I'd gotten an email since I was on their newsletter list and I got a completely free meal, like drink, any priced meal and dessert...now that's service!! Then we went to the drive in movie and saw a Cinderella story. All in all he planned for quite a while. He also gave me the little book set from Harry Potter that has Quidditch Through the Ages, and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. WeeHoo.
We baked all day Saturday for the volcano cake. Then we had a joyous shindig on Sunday night, which I won't go into since almost everyone that reads this was there. I'm pretty ready for school to start, I'm ready to hang out with everybody and use my brain a little more often.
Cor and I are about to start working, I think we are signing on with Prudential this afternoon. We are definitely working for them, we just aren't sure exactly when they want us to start. So we might be in the office tomorrow!! That's exciting even though we won't even have a chance to make money for about a week or so, maybe more since it takes 5-10 days for the Real Estate Commission to send our licenses to Prudential and we can't actually DO any work until they have our licenses. We can go in and do paperwork, we can put together our "sphere of influence" which will take some time. We have to make a good game plan of how we are going to advertise ourselves and get business cards made. It's exciting.
A commission only job really is kind of scary though. I'm not so excited about going possibly months without making any money, especially at the beginning. When we make that first sale though, it will feel like such an accomplishment, and more than likely it will be accompanied by a hefty check, that will be worth while. I need a shower, good morning all.
