Yunho is positive that he just cracked his skull. “Are you okay?” The boy pauses before he frantically screams “ Shit. Gotta go. Sorry!”

Four men are scrambling towards his direction and it hit Yunho’s wits. “ Hey.”  He catches the lad’s wrist and as inertia put it, Yunho finds himself running alongside the boy. They venture into Seoul’s bustling night life, hand in hand. Into the crowd they go as angry shrieks of the people that they collide with follows.

What is so funny about the dash that the other is laughing? Yunho finds the laughter infectious though. They might look mental but in the busy city lights no one cares. The escape is a success and they sit on the pavement, celebrating the achievement.

“ Do you mind?”

Yunho raises his eyebrow. “ Huh?”

“ I need my hand back.”

“ Tell me your name.”

“ Jaejoong.”  The brunette catches his breath. “ And you?”

The door automatically locks itself behind them. “Wait here.” Yunho instructs before heading somewhere. Finding nothing to do, Jaejoong dumps himself on the couch. Yunho returns a few minutes later with a First Aid box.

“ Playing doctor now? ” Jaejoong gives his comment.

“ I make a bad doctor and why were you running around Seoul barefoot anyway?” The antiseptic Yunho spreads gnaws on Jaejoong’s dermis. The lad is screaming like a sissy it annoys Yunho.  “ Here, bite into this.” He shoves his arm to Jaejoong who of course, refuses.

“Designer boots aren’t made for running, pretty to the eyes; a total Devil to the feet.”  The brunette shares his theory.

“You’d be buying a new one tomorrow. Trust my words for that.”

“ No, I won’t. But supporting retail therapy, I might.”

“Quit wriggling your feet.” Yunho pats a cotton wool onto the skin once more. Jaejoong’s bite comes so brutal to his nerves, Yunho chokes up his spit.

“ Damn that gotta hurt.”  Jaejoong releases Yunho’s arm only to bite into it again.

“ Words.” Jaejoong keeps the strings of curses between his teeth obediently. Yunho is too busy treating the wounds and putting on plasters onto the soles as if no one is actually biting into his limb. It’s all black and blue when he’s done. “I could’ve torn off the flesh from your bones” Jaejoong muses at the imprint of his teeth on the skin.

“ Never mind me.”

“ You come here often? Is this place yours?”  Jaejoong looks out from the glass panel of the suite. From up there, everything below should look that tiny.

“You’re not the only one who hates bodyguards you know.”

Jaejoong feels the stab of loneliness in that voice. He is not sure why he feels sorry for Yunho. What makes it funnier; he lives the same way.

“ Yunho…”

“ Hmm?”

“Have we met before?”

won’t tell anybody how you turn my world around

“You’re late” Jaejoong chews the tip of his fingernail. Yunho diligently pulls the digit away from being further damaged. “That’s because you’re too early. I’m on time.”

“You’re late no matter what you say.”

“ I have my excuse ready.” Yunho reaches for a small black box from his jacket. “ You remember my birthday? Aw, what a great buddy I have. You remember birthdays.”  Jaejoong dramatically whines.

“ You’d kill me if I forget. ”

“ You learn fast. Now, sing me the birthday song.” Jaejoong reaches for the gift and excitedly opens it. Then the mood drops.

“ Just a note?” The brunette unfolds the crisp paper and Yunho watches how Jaejoong’s facial expression changes.“ If I got you, nothing else matters.” He vocalizes and looks up straight into Yunho’s eyes. “ What’s this?”

“ I won’t make you decide today. I mean, take your time.”

“ Where’s the real gift?” Jaejoong kills the short silence, brushing his fingers through Yunho’s hair. That sweeps Yunho’s nervousness away. He was really expecting an ugly result to this. “ You could’ve get me something nice to make me think of you everyday, like a ring? Ah, that’s right. Let’s go.”

“ Go where?” Yunho scratches his not itchy head. Now, he’s the one getting all confused.

“ Idiot, we need couple rings.”

won’t tell anybody how your voice is my favorite sound

Jaejoong doesn’t believe in a happily ever. He never had one so he doesn’t care. Wealth can’t promise him anything better than luxurious goods that come after a swipe of plastic cards. It ends at that. Money can’t buy him Yunho.

“Up so soon? Something bothers you?” A gentle nibble on his ear and Jaejoong lets the man to slip into the robe he made out of the downy duvet. He can feel Yunho’s supple skin frictions with his own.

“ A dream woke me up.” Jaejoong rests his head at the crook of his lover’s neck. “ Was I in it?” The taller one nuzzles into his lover’s hair and Jaejoong turns, his eyes are empty. “You weren’t. I was all alone.”

Yunho calms the anxiety, caressing the beautiful face gently before landing a small kiss by the edge of Jaejoong’s lips. “ But I’m here with you now ”

The agony is still there, Yunho senses it. “ Hey, what’s wrong?”

Jaejoong tries to not blurt it out but he can’t, finding it really hard to deal with whenever the fear of their indefinite future rises. “ Our fathers are up each other’s neck. If they find out about us, I….” His voice quivers fairly. The line left unfinished as he huddles to Yunho’s chest.

“ Don’t cry, Jae. It’ll break my heart.”
