This episode is from last year's Episode book, but this is one of my favorite Shige episodes, and I thought you guys might enjoy it. (.^o^.)
From 『ぐっと！NEWS』 - 『天才メーキャッパー』誕生？(A "Genius Make-up artist" is born!?)
Shige: Tegoshi, not good! Your powder isn't set again.
Tesshi: S-sorry.
Shige: Nishikido-kun! Since you did a bit of a poor job, it's too thin!!
Ryo-chan: Oh, sorry.
* They're currently in the make-up room just before an appearance on TV Asahi's Music Station. There is a make-up artist exclusively for the TV show, but today, once again, they end up doing it all by themselves. So they have gathered to do their make-up together. However... *
Shige: Massu!
Massu: Me too!?
Shige: Not, "Me too?" You have the face that needs the most shading, so what are you doing!
Massu: S-sorry...
* Kato-kun has been paying attention to everyone else's make-up to the point that Nishikido-kun would start teasing, "Shige, you're like a devoted housewife." *
Shige: (Stares at Notti) Kusano!
Notti: Is something wrong?
Shige: You pass. (Looks at K-chan next) Koyama! ... Well, I guess it's as good as it'll get.
K-chan: Hey! Can't you say it any nicer?
* At any rate, from when did Kato-kun get into showing his "Genius Make-up artist" techniques. (Laughs) *
Shige: As I got more attentive of my own skin, naturally, my make-up gear increased.
* Kato-kun says this while laughing and opening his vanity bag. Inside his bag: a full set of basic skin care products, foundation, greasepaint for lighting, over 10 different brushes, and for some reason, mascara. *
Shige: In NEWS, Uchi and I probably care the most. I had a discussion with Uchi some time ago, and like we were saying, we have to be thinking about our future [of the skin] starting at this age, or by 30, it's going be all worn-out.
* Is that so... (Bitter smile) *
Shige: No question about it! Not only that, but my thought perfectly matched with Uchi's on another thing; those "gals" with tans are no good either!
* At least it's healthy. *
Shige: Healthy? What is so healthy about it! It's common knowledge now. They say, "If you tan your skin starting from when you are young, you are more likely to get skin cancer," so why would you purposely go visit a tanning salon just to get sick!
* That's true. *
~ Part 2: A "request" from Yamashita-kun to Kato-kun. ~
YamaPi: Hey Shige, where do you buy your brushes and stuff?
Shige: Huh!? U-umm, these are from normal department stores.
YamaPi: Department stores!?
Shige: Yeah, because it's hard to walk straight into a cosmetic store. But if it's on the 1st floor of a department store, even if a guy is looking around, it's not embarrassing.
YamaPi: Of course!
* Passing through everyone, Yamashita-kun came to the Kato-kun's side, who just finished checking everyone's make-up. As expected, no matter how much of a "Genius Make-up artist" he is, he dare not say anything to Yamashita-kun... right? *
Shige: Oh!
YamaPi: Huh!?
Shige: (Nervous) U-um, nothing...
YamaPi: You got me all worried now. Come on and tell me!
* Uh-oh... Kato-kun has found something on Yamashita-kun's face. *
Shige: M-maybe pat down a little around your nostrils.
YamaPi: Nostrils?
* Yamashita-kun quickly looks into a mirror. *
YamaPi: You're right! It's strangely floating. I didn't even notice. When they [TV camera] do close-up shots, that area is unusually noticeable.
* Yamashita-kun said this while staring intently into the mirror. *
* Then, he says a quiet, "Okay!" to himself and sits right next to Kato-kun. *
YamaPi: (Happily) Do it!
Shige: (Shocked) Excuse me!?
YamaPi: Hurry up and fix it please.
Shige: (Really shocked) Me, lay a hand on Yamashita-kun's face... I can't do such a thing.
YamaPi: What are you talking about. Hurry up!
* For some reason, Yamashita-kun is smiling happily at the mirror. And right beside him is... *
Shige: A-a-are you sure?
* Kato-kun uses his personal puff and puffs Yamashita-kun's face while his hand is shaking. *
YamaPi: Wow~ Thank you! Well then, make sure to come as soon as you get cleaned up.
Shige: Okay!
* Even now, we don't know why Yamashita-kun asked Kato-kun for a favor as little as that. However, for Kato-kun... *
Shige: Wow! This is the "puff" that puffed Yamashita-kun's face!!
* I guess the "puff" became his lifelong treasure (?) (Laughs) *
