That translation really ticks me off!
I finally saw the translation that everyone was talking about. Thanks a bunch, _sabishii . I was so shocked! I don't know how Ryo-chan's letter could have been translated like that! No wonder so many people were upset! Some of the words in that translation, I have no idea where they go it from. I mean, you guys can check it out for yourself. Here is Ryo-chan's letter in Japanese, you can show it to any Japanese person, Japanese teacher, Japanese kid! Nowhere in the letter does it say stuff like: "broke your little defenseless heart," "angrys me," "what the hell is wrong with this kid." I need to calm down... I'm glad I re-translated the letter, I felt that it was my duty to clear Ryo-chan's name.
拝啓、上田竜也様。
思い起こせば始めて会ったのは何年か前先輩のバックについてコンサートに出たときだったと思います。その時なんやこのガリガリで色グロなヤツと思いました。それが貴方の第一印象です。あの頃は一緒に遊んでいました･･･ね。そんな気がします。
時が経つにつれてお互いに会う機会がなくなってきて気づいたときには貴方はKAT-TUNの「U」として頑張ってました。しかしその時、金髪で色白になった貴方の余りにもすごい変貌振りを見て僕は思いました。「この子･･･何になりたいんやろう？」その思いを口にしたのもここ大阪でした。そこからザ少年倶楽部と言えば錦戸vs上田という構図が勝手に出来上がってしまいました。僕も辺に頑張ってしまい、何も思いつかず、毒舌づいて貴方を傷つけてきました。ごめんなさい！
このあいだまでの大阪での舞台DreamBoyも一緒でしたね。束の間の時間が楽しかったです。これからも適度に仲良くしてください。長々とごめんなさい！

My translation for Ryo-chan's letter...
In no way am I saying that I'm perfect with my translation, I'm not. I make mistakes too, but I really feel that the other translation was quite ridiculous. I'm probably going to get yelled at from that translator, but seriously, that is why I usually put up the Japanese when I translate stuff like lyrics, so that people know that I didn't make up stuff. If someone feels that I mis-translated something by looking at the Japanese, I fix it. Gosh, I really would like Ueda-fans to read my translation, so that they can see that Ryo-chan's letter wasn't mean at all. I mean, come on, the audience was laughing and so was Ueda-kun, when Ryo-chan was reading the letter. That's a big indication!
I need to go back to studying now... Ryo-chan, I'm sorry that I didn't realize that there existed a misleading translation like that one... and I call myself a fan... ごめんね。 Please forgive me. (.~_~.)
