Finally, I bring you information about the lovable Uchiくん (.^o^.)
I finally got my new NEWS Episode book and you guys know what that means! The stuff about Uchi-kun is at the very end of the book and it's basically an informative thing. They tell us the facts from the fiction about that horrible day that resulted in Hiroki-kun being taken away from us. Instead of sitting around and translating word for word, I decided that I'll just tell you the gist of if, because I think that you guys (his fans) have waited long enough to find out something official about our lovable Hiroki-kun.
Okay, so basically all the information I'm about to reveal to you guys is from the new NEWS Episode book: 『オールイン！ＮＥＷＳ』. This is probably the first official thing that has come out since the incident. They basically go through what happened that night and then they had an interview with two people who were with Uchi-kun and the announcer that night. The green part is just me filling in any gaps, to better explain stuff. (.^o^.)

Nishikido-kun and Uchi-kun parted with the rest of the NEWS members and went out to eat with the people from Fuji TV. (The rest of the NEWS members went home because they either lived near or in Tokyo, but Ryo-chan and Uchi-kun live in Osaka, so they were intending to catch a flight the next day)

After eating, Nishikido-kun and Uchi-kun arrive at their hotel. Once more Uchi-kun gets in a taxi and heads out. (They didn't mention the name of the hotel, it starts with "M.")
July 15, 2005 12:00am~
Uchi-kun has an after-party with a group of people including the announcer and another musician. (The musician's name is not mentioned, his name starts with an "R.")

Uchi-kun arrives in front of the hotel and starts arguing with some driver in a car. At a nearby park, someone spot a very unsteady Uchi-kun walking around the park and calls the cops.

A drunk Uchi-kun is taken into protective custody. The rumors of Uchi-kun acting violently towards the cops is not true, he may have protested a little because he was unsure of why he was being taken into police custody.

After apologizing and admitting his guilt, the cops let him go and Uchi-kun is taken back to the hotel.
スタッフNEWS had an interview with two people who were there. One person is a staff from Fuji TV and the other person is a staff that knows the musician "R." Instead of translating the whole interview, here are the important parts that came out of it.
* Rumors of Uchi-kun and the announcer having a relationship is untrue. In fact, the announcer mentioned that she cannot quit her job even if she wanted to because if she quit, people may interpret it as a confirmation that something was going on between Uchi-kun and her.
* Rumors of Uchi-kun fighting with musician "R" over the announcer is false. Uchi-kun was far from being loud, he was actually sitting very quietly.
* Rumors of Uchi-kun quitting or getting fired is false. Mr. Johnny said that it would be hard to fire Uchi-kun because Uchi-kun has already had a CD debut and has a huge fanbase. The newspapers that wrote headlines saying that Uchi-kun is getting fired just wanted publicity. I honestly want to hurt the people who made up those stupid rumors. The only thing that the rumors did was hurt his fans and most importantly, Uchi-kun.
* Rumors of Ryo-chan being there is false. I heard a lot of people saying, "Why didn't Ryo-chan stop Uchi-kun, wasn't he there!?" Ryo-chan would have protected his friend if he was there, but he wasn't, so don't blame him.
* Why is Johnny's making such a big deal out of this? Well, technically Uchi-kun is equivalent to a college freshman so many people don't see it as a big deal that Uchi-kun was drinking. Unfortunately, he was indeed underage (Japan's drinking age is 20) and Johnny's has a reputation for showing that "right and wrong" really matter in his jimusho. It's actually a really good thing that Johnny's want to show that "right and wrong" matter, but... I really wish it wasn't Uchi-kun who got in trouble. I'm truly glad that it wasn't Ryo-chan.
* How drunk was Uchi-kun? The staff from Fuji TV said that Uchi-kun barely drank. It seemed like it was his first time drinking. Instead of being intoxicated by the alcohol, it seemed more like he was high on the fact that he was drinking. Poor Uchi-kun, I guess he has really low tolerance for alcohol, just like me.
A date hasn't been set for Uchi-kun's return but many people are confident that he will most definitely return. スタッフNEWS said that they believe that Uchi-kun will show his face at the New Year's Special. As an indication of hope, during the SUMMARY this year, when NEWS performed, there were 8 flying ropes attached to the ceilling. Of course one of them just dangled during the performance because no one was attached to it, a clear indication to show the lack of Uchi-kun.
