- The Natural Confectionery Co. Jelly Snakes
I bought 14 packets from Sainsbury's. Good stuff, this. Gives me the energy and sugar rush I need for essays. I eat about a pack a day now. Love the yellow snakes especially, followed by the pink ones. Think they should be banana and guava respectively. Am disgusted by the orange ones. Bleargh - hate all things orange.
- Ben & Jerry's Cookie Dough / Half-Baked Ice Cream
Going at half-price in Sainsbury's! I have four tubs in the freezer now despite it being winter. Cookie dough still reigns as #1 B&J's flavour in my heart because Half-Baked has too much chocolate in it. I'm a vanilla person, and white-chocolate person. Got a Mango Swirl and Phish Food as well.
- 'Sometimes When We Touch' by Olivia Ong
I listen to her songs on Youtube and this melted my heart at first listen. She's Singaporean and probably second only to Kit Chan and Tanya Chua in terms of local talent. Have I ever mentioned I love Bossa Nova?

- As Love Begins To Mend/ 因為你愛我 by Joanna Wang
I'm crazy over her smoky voice. See a little shadow of Lisa Ono in her. This song's the closing theme of Wayward Kenting, a Taiwanese drama that I'm watching now. A very haunting melody and I'm hooked. Keep playing it over and over again on Youtube. And being an English major doesn't mean I don't listen to Mandarin songs, okay.

- 'Waiting For You' by 胡彥斌
Love it partly because the MV is based on Love Contract, a Taiwanese drama that I absolutely adore. First heard my bro sing it in KTV and went ballistic over the MV. The song is beautiful and I found a local rendition of it by a group called Ethe'Real. Never heard of them before and they look pretty shocking on Youtube. It's not a perfect cover but love the arrangement and twanging sounds. Oh, and local meaning Singaporean. Certainly not Brit. That'd be too... weird.

- We Got Married!
A Korean reality show that pairs random celebs up and make them live as newly-weds for 3 weeks. Side-splitting, I tell you. My daily dosage of laughter comes from here. You just have to watch it to know why. Shinhwa's in it too!

- Wayward Kenting
Directed by my favourite Taiwanese drama serial director. Taiwanese drama is my bane. I am always distracted by them especially in critical periods of essays and coursework. This one doesn't have much eye-candies (Eddie Peng? I mean, c'mon lah) but I love the escapist theme. Just like 2046. Doesn't hurt that Joanna Wang sings the opening and closing themes.

- 'The Charming Man' by Marian Keyes
'Tis a book. By my favourite Irish author. Fellow owner of size 3 feet. Impeccable flair for making me laugh with her raw takes on life. Charming Man isn't as charming, though. Have been ploughing through night after night, and find it a little draggy. But resolutely reading it to find out what is the whole story about. Have no clue despite being about halfway through.

It's awful being a university student, I think, especially where the climate is too dry. I have to continue writing essays while my nose bleeds. One, I hate essays. Two, I don't fancy nosebleeds. Put two and two together, and you get a rough idea of how much fun I'm having here.
I never wanted to study so much. Really don't like going to school but seems like I don't have a choice. And the funny thing is, I do have plans to do masters recently. Do I really want to go through the motions for an extra year?
