Because it's half past two in the morning, I'm hopelessly bored, haven't made a real entry in way too long so I'm doing this. Even though it's October and I have done nothing but bitch every time an advert for Xmas comes on the tv.
WISHLIST MEME:
Step One:
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Dean icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two:
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use -- or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free -- do it.
- You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf -- to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not -- it's your call.
- There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just... wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
Note that I would be happy with anything, a card, a quick "happy Xmas" note, email whatever. I'm easy pleased.
1. Recommendations of stuff. Any stuff. Films, books, games, music, anime, manga, anything at all. Anime and manga especially as I could really do with something to watch/read.
2. Once more, dragonflies. Notebooks, pictures, fridge magnets, design of some sort, anything with a dragonfly on it and I would be very happy. Love the way they look for some reason.
3. Fic/Fanart/Icons of any of my fandoms. Any one of those would make me a very happy bunny. Currently fandoms being: Legacy of Kain, Silent Hill, Death Note, Final Fantasy, Assassin's Creed, Carol Berg, Fable, Elder Scrolls, Hellsing, Berserk, Devil May Cry, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Metal Gear Sold.
4. Teddies. I'm a sucker for teddies, room is like a split personality. Figures and computer related stuff one end, teddies etc up the other. Once more anything, any type, bear or not, remotely cuddly and I'm there.
5. Sketchbooks/pencils. I always seem to need them. Pencils seem to get the most wear and tear, the leads end up breaking from over-use or they simply end up sharpened away to nothing. Sketchbooks I run out of space in, especially now when I do anything with a ball point pen. Leans into the next page and if I try drawing on it, end up with a load of marks from the previous drawing. So I start skipping pages and run out of room all the quicker.
6. Material Realm Raziel figure. Scotland still sucks when it comes to getting hold of some figures. I've only ever seen the Spectral Realm figure once and I bought that, never appeared again in any of the shops in Glasgow. So yeah, if anyone manages to find this figure for me I will seriously love them forever, it would make my entire year. ETA Or any figure actually would make my year and I'd love them forever, actually. Big small, whatever. Wee plastic guy and I'm there.
7. Piano music. As always I'd be glad of some more. Classical, covers, wee tinkly piano tunes, throw 'em my way.
8. Surprise me. Seriously. Like I said above, I would be happy with even just a letter or card or some random little thing sent. And if it's a letter, I'll likely reply and it gives me something to. So, yeah. Random things.
9. Necklaces. Any shape, any colour, I'm happy with anything. Far as I'm concerned can't have enough of them.
10. Sheep. Besides dragonflies, sheep are my thing. Big sheep, small sheep, cuddly sheep, sheep ornament, postcard with a sheep, anything and I'll be happy.
Email is dpaterson11@googlemail.com if anyone needs an address. Now I need sleep. My dad is planning more DIY and I'll probably never get any sleep after that.
Edit: Took out that book as
kimyoungwoon found me a good link on eBay.
