To discuss this topic only, having a former prostitute AND a "working" prostitute come into schools to discuss prostitution is "not right". Yes, I agree that with ALMOST every other topic, it would be great to educate youth with "both sides of the coin". But I CANNOT open my mind up to a "working" prostitute coming into a school and saying, "Boys and girls, prostitution is great!! The benefits are AMAZING, and the money is unreal!! You should really try it out!!".
I realize myself that lately, I haven't been very good at expressing what I'm trying to say. So, to try and some up all the entries I've made, I am generally against women/men selling sex. I realize that some people feel they either have to do it to make money, or, they really think(for a time at least) that the money is great, so they will continue with it. So, I guess for those examples, I can sorta agree with the idea of legalizing it, because the prostitutes will have their clients monitored and tested for STD's, and I'm sure in other ways too they will be safer. I DO NOT think these people are trash in any way, I think they are people with low self esteem that need help, because no one should have to sell their bodies for money.
And again, education is the key so people don't have to discover from trial and error that prostitution will be damaging to their self esteem in the long run.
