Summary: Being a cop sucks sometimes, especially one that takes his responsibilities seriously. When Danny’s grandmother passes away and he’s stuck in Hawaii, testifying in court, Steve offers to help in the only way he knows how; to take Grace home to Jersey for the funeral. The unexpected appearance of Danny’s brother at the funeral makes everything harder. (Set mid S2 but no storyline mentions apart from Rachel being pregnant)
Notes: My friends and some flisters will know I lost my grandmother on Christmas Day. This was some emotion fueled but therapeutic writing, extra special thanks to my girl for the beta job when I missed things that should have been glaringly obvious ♥
