Wonderful

RHPS on Friday night at midnight is a stretch for me. Waiting around until the midnight hour I though was going to be rough, but staying busy at the facility was great. So many fun conversations about playtime and RHPS times! I stayed busy in the kitchen for a little while getting things put in pots to heat and then keeping the members from eating said food until the rest of the cooking was done! Then putting all the props in proper little bags so everyone had the things to make the movie more fun. I found a pack of noise makers in my car - no wonder if was half the noise as usual.

Preparation of moving has been slow. I am working on readying a room to be a garage sale staging area! I have to get rid of some things this time, so figure I will try to sell first and then donate after. This week will be putting things into my car and getting them to the house. My plan was to take boxes to the house and unpack them, but that is not going to work well as there is no furniture to put the crap into! So best laid plans! But I am going to move as much as I can with my car, maybe borrow one of the guys trucks here at work to take dressers, table and chairs and hope to have just big stuff left that I need help with. I HATE MOVING!

Saturday evening Little A and myself headed to St. Rose to stay all night with my son and his wife (wow that still sounds weird). LadyG came down in her car and we were all going to Pancho's all you can eat. We arrived at St. Rose and had acquired two more for dinner at buffet. At about 530 p.m. Lady G called L's to take a chance he was there and he answered the phone! He had gotten my message but didn't call me back so we were not going to go. When he answered we immediately changed plans! Kids to Pancho's and LadyG and I to L's! We stayed at the restaurant until it closed, loaded up in his car to go see the 'opening soon' restaurant in Uptown, then went to O'Henry's so L's could eat something and we could talk more freely, then back to Metairire to get our car, and then back home. I got home at 2:30 ish a.m. and LadyG got home about 3:30 a.m.! What a night! He is still eye candy for this old lady! He said that I had professed to be really good at something for years laughingly. I responded with blushing and said I don't say that anymore because there is just too much competition now for who purceives themselves as the best! He said (paraphrasing) that he would be the judge as LadyG is laughing hysterically and I am about 10 shades of red! It was a fabulous evening of reminessing, laughter, stories of bloopers, promises of more time together, spreading the word that we need a oldies munch, and play! Oh yes I have grown and he is not surprised - he helped raise me from a newbie ROFL.

Mothers Day was awesome! The kids let me take a nap at about 3 (after I got up at about 11), they prepared kabobs for the extended family and a hashbrown cassarole with them. My son is loving his new bbq! It was a party of eight for Mom's Day dinner. It was wonderful sitting outside in the shade enjoying each others company.

On the way home I received a text about coffee time. So from St. Rose I headed to CC's on Jefferson Hwy with Little A. We got back into town about 8:50 and headed that way! There was a party of 6 for coffee! That was a perfect ending to a perfect weekend.
