As of 4/1/09 the gen. mgr. owns the company I work for. Papers signed, handshakes made, and attorney bills in - done deal. Yesterday I asked "So when are all those colored post-it's going to be removed off of YOUR desk?" T answered with Mr. Lysol Man "wanted some time to get things moved out". This morning at 7:30 a.m. the front door (which is always locked) came open and in walked Lysol Man, x-owner of this company. He used his key to arrive unannounced, produced the usual mail, requests to forward mail to others, and basically to reek havoc on the employees of 4 in the office. Good news - my coffee was brewed and I did not run to hide my pot!
Edit to yesterdays trip to the doctor - what I started to tell was the story of how long I was at Woman's Doctor's Building. It was nearing a total of 3 hours and when I drove into the parking lot the sky's were black with clouds and there were a few rain drops hitting the windshield so grabbed my umbrella to take with me. By the time I got out of the building the storm had passed and the new was showing signs of hail, wind, and flood! Sun was shining and it was nice when I left!
Excitement in the neighborhood at work. (peeks out door to see if they are gone). I hear sirens for the longest time like maybe 20 minutes straight. I then hear high RPM's but no screeching tires going through the drive outside (remember I work in a bomb shelter). So now my interest is peeked. I go to the front door (that remains locked) and open it (dumb move) and there are about 4 city police cars in the suicide lane in front, two immigration SUV's in the neighbors drive and one fugitive (no longer a fugitive) being walked back across to the police cars. (sirens still blaring from the parked vehicle). So I shut the door and go to the warehouse and the gen. mgr. is watching from the dock door at the cops now wandering through the woods behind our building. I watch for a bit and go back into the bombshelter. A while passes and arrives the dogs. Oh how much fun is this! They are gone now! This is why I have a huge peep hole in the door to the bomb shelter!
Speaking of dogs. I went outside to get something out of my car this week and when I turned around there was an elderly lab mix female dog standing at the corner of the building. When I spoke to her she wagged her tail. So I coaxed her into my office! As I started to call the number on her immunization tag I hear a whisle from across the street! She wandered across O'Neal Lane (OMG the traffic on this street is horrible! But I made a new friend - almost...................ALMOST makes me want a dog - between Toby and the dog from across the street, it is nice to have the tail wag!
(SHIT THE X-BOSS IS BACK) Someone take his key away from him!
