Mweeeee~~ just saw the latest eps of Nobuta and Hanadan. I squee with delight! *squees* Shuuji, Akira & Nobuta are like, total, BFF ~ so adorable ♥ And speaking of adorableness - Matsuda Shota is so pinchable!! Aaaaaaaaaaaannyaaaaaaa ~ definitely cuter than his aniki ^^
Last Friday I went to Media Prima's TV Networks Screening at Berjaya Times Square Hotel. Just for your info, TV3, 8tv, ntv7 & Channel 9 are all now under the Media Prima company. Yep, the free private tv stations are all under the Media Prima banner. So basically the free tv in this country can be divided into 2 ~ the govt stations (RTM1 & RTM2) and Media Prima. The purpose of the screening is to showcase what programs are gonna be shown on those channels in 2006 - it's more for advertisors actually but usually a lot of people in the industry will show up. Heh, the industry. I feel cool saying that XD
Arrived right on time (might be a bit early I think) - but since the screening won't start until about an hour later I went straight to the snack spread at the back - YAY FREE FOOD! \(^o^)/ After that I went to say hello to some of the people that I knew - that didn't take much time cuz, well, I only knew a few. Very few ^^;; Owh, and I also met up with Weird (all glittered up) and Shy (who had a really funky hairdo). Wandered to see what was on display at each channel's respective booths. 8tv had some games going on; at tv3's booth they had like a take your picture with the girls from Puteri (really annoying show imho - but somehow it's rather popular @_@) - the lead actress for that show had so much makeup on. Gile bapak tebal mascara o_O . Channel 9 didn't have any booth cuz they haven't officially relaunched yet and ntv7 had this Arabian Nights theme going on. Around 5 pm people started to go into the screening hall and the event started at about 5.30. It's called a screening but I suppose it's more like a presentation. Only with singers and fire eaters and stilt walkers and belly dancers and dancing CEOs XDD Highly entertaining though, and I think so much better than the local awards shows shown on tv. But then again, I don't think that some (if not most) of the performances and gimmicks at the screening would make it pass the censors. Nothing really risque but a bit the sexy lar. Kinda like what you would see in foreign award shows. Foreign shows takpe, local tableh. That's the double standard I think XD The tv shows they previewed looked quite exciting and lotsa new shows from teh US like Bones and Prison Break and stuff. 8tv showed a promo for a local series (in english) that actually looks interesting and I'm kinda looking forward to it (never liked local shows... cuz most are too.. bleh =_=). It's called KL Lights I think. Or something. Definitely one to put in your to watch list - hopefully it'll be as good as the promo promised ^^ And what else.....oh yeah! They're gonna show Fruits Basket and Shaman King on ntv7 I think. And Inuyasha too. Malay dubbed? Most likely. I highly doubt they would show the series in Japanese it but who knows? Miracles do happen. Sometimes XD Hurmmm... or maybe they might show the English dubbed (American) version? *wonders*
After the screening was a dinner (MORE FREE FOOD!!) but I skipped it cuz I had to run over to Low Yatt Plaza to get some computer stuff. Oh well. Owh! At the end of the screenings we were asked to fill in these feedback forms (what do you think of the presentation for so-and-so channel, how was the food, etc...) and submit at the registration counter to get a mystery gift. And guess what the gift was?? A magic 8-ball!! Yay! Now I have one too ~ that thing is so much fun XD
Later that night I slept over at
alien_drummer's place in Putrajaya cuz she needed some help to prepare the stuff we're gonna sell at the Homegrown concert at Sunway the next day. Making button badges is FUN! *makes plan make some personal buttons, whee!* On Saturday was the concert - we had a booth outside to sell the band merch and t-shirts. I love going to concerts to sell our stuff cuz:
- we can get in for free
- we make money
- the Lodestar gang is the wackiest and most crazy bunch of people you could ever hope to meet in YOUR ENTIRE LIFE. Not too mention oh-so-cool (yet lame). We is teh awesome yo! *carries own basket* XDDDD
Crazy, crazy night that involved a lot of yelling, dancing, jumping, squeeing, laughing, hustling people to buy our stuff... y'know, the usual ^^v We were dead tired by the time all of us got home but it's the good kind of tired. I like that. We're prolly gonna be selling our stuff at Rock The World too (since SCTS will be playing) on the 17th. So if any of you guys are going, drop by and BUY OUR STUFF PLZKTHNX.
And now a very special announcement (cuz I didn't have a chance to post this yesterday)
