Oh, I did wonder! No, I've just been really crap at managing to meet up with people, because I've been moving cities and countries and stuff. It's been over a year since I last saw Zazz!
Well that's good. I've been mostly studying, got my first 94% the other day (you'd be proud!) So are you back in the uk for a while now? How is it all going? Zazz is not in my vocabulary anymore, we fell out....
Go you, that's excellent! So are you still enjoying the studying?
I'm back in the UK at least till September, and then it depends on what happens with work. I'm a journalist now, so my bosses have the power to send me pretty much anywhere in the world. Cool AND scary!
Fallings out are a shame, but such is life. I hope you're feeling better about whatever it was, though, as fallouts with associated emotional stuff are beyond draining.
The comment I was replying to has gone AWOL, so I've just stuck my reply here, instead!
I was just going to say that my cool journalistic life hasn't got too exciting yet, as it's only just started. But come September, they may send me to Beijing, Tokyo, or Paris, all of which would be really cool!
Remind me - is this your last year of studies, or is there more to come?
Mmm, read about your latest dilemma, which sucks. Sounds like they prob expect you to work more hours in the day than humanly possible. I hope you get some reason out of them soon... What I'm doing now is basically a-levels, as I did art at school, not science. So I'll be starting uni in september (only 10 years late!)
That just means you'll be better placed to appreciate how much slacker life is when you're a student! There's nothing like being able to contact a large group of friends, all of whom are available to go out drinking at three on a Wednesday.
Hmm, if only! I'll be doing my degree part time (I think class time will be 2-3 evenings of 3 hours each) while staying at my full time job in the daytime! Just having a job will be like a holiday after that!!
Damn, that sucks! You are obviously the queen of will-power and determination. I only went to uni because I was pissed off with working and wanted a holiday!
I mean, I did actually want a degree and brainfood, but I was also really jealous of my student friends for having so much time off.
I'm impressed! So are you going to Birkbeck? (I ask because I know they're big on flexibility and part-time study.)
Well, when I was younger the government did help you a bit more, but these days you have to pay for it all yourself as far as I can tell... Yes, I'm at Birkbeck now and they are very keen for me to stay there...it does make sense. Although I've got a place to do biochem at UCL which is very tempting it's full time so I wouldn't be able to eat!
I'm sure it doesn't although it's proving tricky to find out what the situation is anymore. People thought thatcher was bad, but I'm sure this is worse....
Mmm, the tony party made such a show of being the good guys. Anyway..I'm off to the library to swap chemistry a-level revision books 'Nature's Numbers' and 'The Changing Universe' for different chemistry books and see if I can find one about calligraphy.... Hope you enjoy your weekend, sounds like you deserve a rest!
