As memorable as it is devastating. Hands up, y'all:
- Got some southern comfort this week. The Thanksgiving 2K6 Goldsboro NC Jump-Off was awesome. Got to see Mom, John, Melissa (sister-in-law), Nicholas and Trey [sp?] (nephews), Domenic, Christian, Kim, Catherine, Sarah, Caroline, Nixia, Paula, Dwayne, Rob, Rob from Ham's, and many more. Some of whom I met for the first time, most I remembered from last time. I never paid for a drink or a meal, again, and slept in late and just had a goooooood time. And yes, as some of you may know, I came back with an accent again.
- Mom (NJ) and Dad's 20th Anniversary was whis week. I called this morning to wish them the best, and they informed we of their little getaway to AC to see the boat, stay at the Trump Marina, and have dinner at P.F. Chang's. Dad said they fished, but I'm guessing that was more him than Mom.
- I received disappointing news of the Rutgers loss this week. I know it was 10 days ago, but I've been busy. Give me a break! I don't really follow football, and especially not Rutgers. But who doesn't get caught in local sports hysteria? Plus the one team I actually do care about, University of Alabama (ROLL TIDE!!) is 4th in their division, tied for 6th in the SEC conference, and as far as I know, not nationally ranked.
- In real football news (yeah, I said it) the Arsenal Gunners dropped to 6th in Barclay's Premiership with their Saturday loss to Bolton. They were in third, a bit of a distance behind 1st place Manchester United and 2nd place Chelsea FC, but points standings have pushed the farther back. If it wasn't for them being the 3rd highest scorer in the league, they'd be even farther down the chain. Stiff upper lip, mates. Let's win the next one against 12th place Fulham on Wednesday!
- Chris' Jazz Cafe tonight features BeBop saxophonist Victor North will be playing with his band. For those of you unfamiliar with all of the sub-divisions of jazz, BeBop is usually has an up-tempo shuffle to it. Very fun and energetic. It should be a good time! Especially since I have a hot date.
- Looking at how much more I seem to type every week, I may need to start breaking this into sections. Yikes.
- On a final note, a word of wisdom from experience, if you will: Feet taste bad. Keep them out of your mouth.
Updates as they occur. Stay fixed! Get along, pa'tner.
