(no subject)
Well, I don't think I've updated here in a few forevers... Things are going more or less well. Got a 2% raise at work, nothing exciting, but every bit helps. Been playing lots of WoW still, especially now that I've been, rather unexpectedly, made the new Guild master. It's not an easy thing trying to lead close to 150 people to glorious things and keep them happy at the same time...
Got things squared away with Jim from college, so I'll be moving into the apartments above the Oakdale mall (Indian Ridge) on August 10th. There will be many long conversations and at least 1 new DnD campaign :) I'll be there for a year till his fiance moves in after her RIT graduation, then where I go is up in the air. I'm hoping to have a better job lined up by then, one where my projects don't consist of customer service and installing weird new programs so as to figure out how they work...
Got to visit with Nate some more when he came back from Flordia for his 3-week-per-year vacation from college. He's doing graphical game design, like 3D modeling. Basically the kind of thing you see in any game now days. Very cool stuff!
Don't remember if I mentioned this or not, but Paul is apparently rather good at pool... He won 2 seperate touraments, each having a prize of a spot in the National tourny... in Las Vegas! Apparently the first one won him and his partner a spot, the second one won the whole team a spot. Tourney is at the end of August... Anyone up for a trip to Vegas? :P
Yesterday was probably the most fun I've had in several years: The gang get-together. This time it consisted of myself, Amy, Stacie, and the long-disappeared April. Don't think I've seen her in 6 years... There was making fires in the rain with scaveneged sticks and a corner of the cake box, smores, goober-ball to the face, swimming, frisbee, cake soup, pictures of Stacie's boobs, and a roller-coaster ride along the backroads, all ending with a movie in Binghamton. We saw 1408, which I thought was pretty good, but the others tried to not fall asleep towards the end of...
As an extra-added bonus, I got a 2nd degree burn on my shoulders :P Oh well, it was a good excuse to call in sick from work today.
