You know, I used Blake as the epigraph to my story that was Snape's POV of his death--I called it "Endless Night," but I really wanted to call it "God is Light"--

"God appears, and God is Light
To those poor souls who dwell in night
but does a human form display
to those who dwell in realms of day."

The last line of the story was,

"Eyes widening, Severus gave himself to the light."

It fits, doesn't it.

He seeks the light so desperately, but everything (meaning Albus, grr) keeps forcing him to cloak himself in darkness...

I don't think Severus will ever stop breaking my heart.
