/Hermione: But why do you have to go alone?/

Hermione: And why aren’t I mentioning the fact that this woman is hissing?

/Potter: AAAAAAGH! [Dies]/

Just curious, why is James Potter referred to as “Potter” instead of “James?”

/Lily: I will never surrender my child to you! Do you hear me?! NEVER!/

Is it sad that Lily comes off as slightly more dignified in this exchange in your abridged parody than in the actual book?

"Just curious, why is James Potter referred to as “Potter” instead of “James?” "

Mostly just to keep it consistent with what I do for Lupin and Snape. I use Sirius' and Lily's first names to avoid confusion.

Hermione's inability to hear 'Bathilda' hissing is consistent - people who aren't parselmouths can't hear snakes when they speak, though they do hear when humans speak Parseltongue (not logical, but consistent). This was the rule in COS. And Harry doesn't notice when he speaks in Parseltongue, nor does he notice that snakes don't speak English.

Anyone care to comment on the similarities/differences here between Lucius/Hermione giving up their wands to Voldy/Harry? I really never noticed it before, but especially with Hermione appearing to fear Harry having her wand...

And Naigini is present for both cases. Not sure what to make of Bagshot/Burbage. One has Naigini inside her and the other ends up inside Naigini.

fear Harry having her wand...

Given that a Witch without a wand is helpless it makes sense.

Except she seems to fear Harry, as opposed to someone else?

Hermione is very much afraid of making Harry angry all the way through this book, long before he succumbs to the impulse to use Unforgivable curses.
