It's not actually a plot hole. It's definitely a mistake on Harry's part (and maybe Sirius's as well), but it's actually one I don't blame him for making, necessarily, because even I have trouble keeping track of everything I own, and presumably all these characters had a lot on their minds at the time (besides that, none of them are exactly the brightest bulbs in the attic).

But in the Potterverse all the twins' victims deserved to be victimized and knew it. At most Draco used their merchandise as a resource.

You're quite right. (And your comment tweak has not gone unnoticed; my thanks for that) Do you know why the German people aren't really too eager to celebrate the Berlin Wall going down? Because it also happened on November 9th.

It's so cute McGonagall thinks the rules actually apply to "the boy who lived", from what we've seen of the wizarding world Harry can fail all his classes and still get whatever job he wants.
