I was indoctrinating nokomis305 in the Way of Slade and thus uploaded these for her. Figured it would be a shame to not show some of you as much canon as I possibly could. Because more canon is *never bad*.

( Every comic here is at least a decade old and is also really hard to find in print, so I have no ethical scruples about posting them. )

Thank you so much! I discovered Slade when he was originally created, being very old and a comic book reader from my childhood, but around the mid-90s I got hooked hard on online Buffy fandom and stopped reading comics, therefore missing out on the last ten or so issues of "Deathstroke", so I'm snagging those and a few others. Really wonderful of you to do this!

I will never understand why DC turned a character they once gave his own freakin' comic to into one more one-dimensional villain.

When the Deathstroke comic came out, I think I was almost three. And I didn't hit comics until about two years ago.

But when I did? I fell *hard*.

And yeah, I just kinda... he was awesome! He had moral ambiguity and complicated relationships and enemies and *friends*. HE HAD FRIENDS, DARN YOU DC.

And now he's one more badass megalomaniac.

*sighs*

I've been working on a series lately for Fanwanking Slade's Current Canon. I really shouldn't have to work so hard on it.

The first Deathstroke annual is a WinRAR file, all the others should be able to be opened with CDisplay.

Hey, love! Yis, I got lots of icon space and now I have more Slade icons than anyone on lj, with the possible exception of somebody who would RP him.

I can't, I pay extra for text messages. But I could do it on a land line. My house phone has free long-distance, so when I get home I'll try to give you a call.
