Quick recap for those of you unfamiliar with Jack Thompson's crusade against games:

Really Short Version: Jack Thompson blames violence on video games, and yells at/attacks people when they point out how his reasoning or much of anything else is wrong.
Well, he challenged people to make a particularly violent game (http://gc.advancedmn.com/article.php?artid=5883) where basically one is a deranged individual who blames his son's murder on games, then murders everyone associated with the company that produced it. In return he would donate 10000$ to charity. *
Guess what?
Some modders Put Up, creating a GTA mod following it. (I've not looked at the mod, but read a couple descriptions.)
Jack Thompson didn't put up. Instead called the original proposal satire.
So Tycho and Gabe of Penny-Arcade.com (a popular gaming webcomic) donated $10,000.
It remains to be seen if Jack Thompson shuts up.
*I think the perfect ending would be managing to get home (preferably a Miami address very familiar to Thompson), and be greeted by the person's son. The realization slowly dawning that the 'murder' was just a dream, a fantasy. (Something I don't think most people have a problem keeping separate. However, Thompson doesn't appear to think so, thus the perfect ending.)
