Remember when I said nothing was going on that was worth writing about? Um, screw that...yesterday was interesting.

It started off by heading out to Ypsi after work on Wednesday. Katie went to bed a little before I got there. Normally she waits for me, but she said that she wanted to start going to bed earlier and not stay up/out so late. So as we were in bed around 12:30(I had yet to fall asleep) in a very strict tone I was told to "go away". We have had a few arguments as of late and I could understand it being said on purpose, so I got out of bed, grabbed a spare blanket and hit the couch. I slept maybe 3 hours because that couch is not comfy at all. In the morning I woke her up at like 6:30am (Thursday Morning) to ask why was I told to get out, turns out she was talking in her sleep and she swore she never said such a thing. Oops, that is what I get for listening. A little later, about 11:15am or so, as I am driving back to Waterford so I can get ready for work the bike breaks down on M-14. Ran out of gas actually, so I called Katie and she came to get me. While I was waiting for her I found the switch for the reserve and turned it, this let a small amount of stored fuel get to the engine. When Katie arrived I was able to start the bike and have her follow me to a gas station(I have no clue the rage I have on the reserve). As I get moving I realize the bike sounds not so good and I am limited in my horsepower and speed. Once to a gas station and a couple gallons in the bike I find that the mood of my bike has not gotten better. So, we limped the bike back to Katie's house and then Katie, Alison and I left in the Neon for Waterford.
We decided to go to the bike shop before getting the F-150 and trailer from my house. While Katie was looking at some riding gear I asked Justin about my situation. His best guess is that I ran out of gas and then when I used the reserve I clogged up the fuel system with all the sediments and crap from the bottom of the gas tank. He said that all I needed was a new fuel filter and clean/replace the plugs and all should be forgiven. After leaving the bike shop the three of us ran back to my place to grab the trailer and the F-150.
Katie and Alison went inside while I went to work hooking up the trailer and getting the truck ready for the plan of action. Justin said I should be able to fix it in Ypsi, but I figured I would tow it home anyways...just in case. Hooking up and getting ready to go took a little longer then planned because some of the stuff for the trailer was not with the trailer. When I was ready I went back in the house to find Katie sitting on the couch white as a ghost. She said she had a headache, upset tummy, general aches & pains, fever, etc... She was cold to the touch, except for the forehead. About the time I am realizing this the two of us realize that the baby has created a mess upstairs. One of those not-fun baby messes that involves a lot of poop in my parent's guest room. I grabbed Alison, brought her downstairs and quickly tried to clean the room. Katie tried to wash Alison, but wasn't up to it and had to go lay down. I was feeling a little overwhelmed with the bike situation, the messy baby and the sick girlfriend but I think I managed OK.
Finally things were cleaned up and returned to a somewhat normal state in my house, the three of us were in the truck and off to Ypsi. Ali in the back with a bottle, Katie in the front with a puke basin and me in the driver's seat. We left my house at 5pm. During the drive I decided that as long as I was paying the gas $$$ to haul a trailer out of Oakland county I would go to Grandma's and pick up the old motorcycle. We went to Ypsi so I could drop off Alison with Katie's parents and get Katie to bed. When we got there after I got Katie in bed her parent's left. Katie was in no shape to watch after Alison so I took her with me to Grandma's.
As we were getting to Grandma's Alison got out of her car seat and sat next I knew was sitting in the pass front seat next to me. So I pull over in the road just a little in front of Grandma's, shut off the truck, get out & close my door, run to the other side of the truck and pull Ali out the pass side and shut the door. As I was lecturing her about staying in her car seat I heard a click sound...the auto lock on the doors...with my keys in the ignition...and the diaper bag in there as well. So we went into Grandma's and I called my parents to bring me the spare keys. While I waited for them I left Ali with Grandma and went to work getting the old bike ready for transport (I could still get in the cargo bed and get my tools at least). I got the bike out, got it set up, got it started, let it warm up, rode it out into the street, parked it behind the trailer while I dropped the ramp and as I lined it up just before I could ride it up the ramp...it stalls and won't start again. So I pushed the bike up the ramp myself and strapped it down. Then I went in the house to find Grandma trying to clean a messy Ali without the aid of the diapers or clean clothes that were in the truck.
While I am waiting for my keys I talk to Katie's parents and they were 5 miles away and had purchased a new dish washer. I said if they did I would take it back to Ypsi for them. Once my parents arrived I got the bag out of the truck, cleaned up the baby, loaded the baby and made a B-line for Sears. I arrived at Sears about 8:45pm. I moved the trailer over into the receiving zone and went inside to give them my paperwork. I went outside as they were bringing the dish washer outside. I decide to put Ali in the truck and lock it(Don't worry I had my keys) so I can help load the dish washer without having to worry about her. As I am strapping her in I hear the sound of a garage door closing. I look up and see that they brought the dish washer outside and then closed the door... I look at my watch it is 9pm...closing time. So now I loaded and strapped the dish washer by myself. Back to Ypsi.
I pulled up in front of Katie's house about 9:40pm. As I was getting out of the truck Sally was there to get Alison and David was right handy to help me unload his dish washer and load my "new" motorcycle. We just pushed it up since there was 2 of us, no need to warm it up for a few feet. With the new one loaded and strapped I went in the house. I checked on Katie who was feeling a little better. She wanted help with a bath(to try and help with the fever). I ran a temped bath, tossed in one of those fizz tablets, helped Katie to her bath and just sat there on the toilet and talked while she was in. After the bath I still had to go home because I can't leave that big a trailer in her subdivision overnight. I can but it would have to be on the next street and I wasn't leaving it on another street while it was loaded with 2 motorcycles.
Katie decided she was up to riding with me to keep me company, she knew I was coming back with he Neon. So after making sure Sally and David were willing to listen for Alison Katie, her bucket and I left for Waterford. Shortly after 11pm we arrived. We pulled the trailer in the back yard and just left it for today to be unloaded. After talking with Jason for a few minutes we got back in the Neon and made for Ypsi. We got back about 12:20am. I didn't get to bed until after 1am...I was one tired puppy.
This morning I woke up about 7ish and after getting ready and what-not Katie, Alison and I left to come back out to Waterford. She was feeling better so she said she could get back to Ypsi and make sure I could get home. I had her stay around long enough so I could unload the bikes. No one was home and if I got hurt I wanted someone to be able to get help. She even helped me unload them. Too bad the unloading was not easy. We lost control of the Honda as we were backing it off the trailer and it fell off the ramp. I scratched the underside where the frame the ramp and laid it down on it's side in the yard. The bike isn't damaged, the fall was slow and controlled mainly because I was pinned under the bike as it fell off the trailer...I'm fine but for most of the day my right leg/knee has hurt like a bitch. Unloading the Suzuki was easier and uneventful.
After this was done we realized the diaper bag was in Ypsi. Off to Meijers for diapers and while we were there I got Alison a new spring dress/romper thing and a hoodie. We came back and I left for work as the girls went home. So um...yeah, like I said it was an interesting few days.
